Rotary Friendship Exchange
A team of 12 Rotarians in Canada (6 from Manitoba, four from Saskatchewan and two from NW Ontario) will be travelling to our District 9780, arriving March 7 and departing March 21, 2019.
The Rotary Club of Geelong East has the opportunity to host these Rotarians when they arrive on the 7th March for several days. Hosting is of two kinds. First, is accommodation. There are five couples and two singles. We require accommodation for two nights for these people.
The second form of hosting may appeal to others. That it taking the visitors around Geelong and surrounding areas to the locations and events that they have shown an interest in.
Please email Warren Norton, should you be able to provide either or both forms of hosting.
Rotary Friendship Exchanges are two-way event.
An Australian team will travel to D5550 sometime during August-September 2019
Tentative Outbound Dates: Aug. 15 – 29, 2019. The Host Rotary Clubs will be Prince Albert, Hudson Bay, Melfort, and Saskatoon - Meewasin.
You could be part of that team. You need to advise Warren or Gail Barrett, the Chair of the Rotary Friendship Exchange in District 9780. You should not leave it too late to register your interest.
Please consider both the inbound and outbound experiences and in particular, hosting these visiting Rotarians.

The first Vocational Visit for this half of the Rotary year will be to the Renal Dialysis Centre of Barwon Health which is at 74 – 76 Swanston Street (Cnr. Swanston & Little Myers Sts.)
We will be hearing two presentations on the night.

The presentations will be followed by a tour of the facility.
On completion of that, we will be going to the Elephant & Castle for a dinner. It will be à la carte, so you can have anything they have on the menu from a coffee to a three-course meal.
The Elephant & Castle is within walking distance of the Renal Services facility.
Remember, the date is 29th January and the meeting commences at 6.00pm sharp at the Renal Dialysis Centre which is located 74-76 Swanston Street (Cnr. Swanston & Little Myers).
