Fundraising 2010
Fundraising
Fundraising is not about money - it's about people!
We can do more for people in need within our own community or elsewhere when we have funds to do so. Rotarians volunteer for many and varied projects, locally and internationally. The fundraising supports these activities.
The Fundraising Committee of The Rotary Club of Geelong East is involved in identifying new and innovative ways of raising funds to further the activities of the club within its various communities.
The key fundraiser for the club, annually is the Hamburger Stand at the Geelong Show Grounds. In addition to the Geelong Show, there are other annual and occasional activities held at the Show Ground that the club caters for.
A Dinner Auction is held every two years and the club raises funds through a variety of other activities.
A key focus of the Fundraising Committee is to ensure that funds are generated from the public, government and philanthropic organisations as well as from members.
Various sub-committees are formed to carry out specific activities for generating funds. The club is always looking to innovative and fun fundraising ideas.
